Merri-bek reusables rebate program
Merri-bek City Council has teamed up with Greener Everyday to provide residents with a cloth nappy and reusable continence or period product subsidy program.
The subsidies can be claimed as a discount on cloth nappies, cloth nappy accessories and reusable continence or period products at the checkout.
Eligible Merri-bek residents can claim:
Up to $100 off the purchase price of cloth nappies and accessories per household per year; and
Up to $40 off the purchase price of reusable period products or continence/LBL products per resident per year.
The subsidy will reduce the cost of your order but will not pay for it completely.

Merri-bek rebates
How it works
Council will provide up to $100 off cloth nappies and up to $40 off reusable period or continence products. A minimum spend applies for each tier of discount. Shipping costs are excluded from the rebate.
To claim the rebate, use the discount codes during checkout. You can claim one cloth nappy code per household and one period/contincence product code per household, in the one transaction.
Claim your discount at the time of ordering with the following discount codes. You must enter your discount codes during the checkout process.

Merri-bek residents only

Cloth nappies
Use code MBN50 for $50 off cloth nappy orders between $75 and $150.
Use code MBN100 for $100 off cloth nappy orders over $151.
*No subsidies for cloth nappy orders under $75.
Period and continence products
For reusable period and continence products:
Use code MBPC25 for $25 off reusable period and continence product orders between $35 and $50.
Use code MBPC40 for $40 off reusable period and continence product orders over $51.
*No subsidies for period and contience orders under $35.
- Rebates (subsidies) may be claimed only by residents of Merr-bek City Council.
- The billing address must be a Merri-bek residential address.
- Each household may apply for ONE cloth nappy subsidy per financial year, and
- Each household may apply for ONE reusable period product or continence product subsidy per financial year.
- Rebates are provided as an up-front discount off eligible products on the Greener Everyday website (this website).
- Orders will be verified for eligibility and resident will be contacted with options to pay the gap or cancel their order, if their rebate application does not qualify.
If you are clearly not eligible for a discount code you have used (for example live in a municipality other than the one from which you are claiming a code), and request a refund upon rejection, merchant and staff time (admin) fees will be deducted from your refund amount.
Write down the codes for your council area to use during checkout.
Browse the relevant product categories and add items to your cart.
Add your discount codes to claim your council-funded discount.
Submit your order and Council will verify that it will pay your discount.
You will receive email confirmation if your rebate is accepted, or an email outlining your options if you are not eligible.
Orders usually take a couple of days to move through the approval process. Items in stock will ship that week.
Not all items are permanently in stock - as a new program, we are still assessing supply and demand, so some items may take several weeks. We thank you for your understanding.
Refunds and exchanges are provided in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Change of mind
If you change your mind and wish to cancel your order, you must let us know via email or phone (provided on your order confirmation email) within 24 hours of ordering.
Cancellations will not be accepted once the item has shipped.
Your refund will be processed through Shopify back onto the card or method with which you paid. We will deduct a $5 administration fee to cover the merchant fee that we cannot recover, and a small portion of staff time.
Ordering from Greener Everyday (this website), a division of Chooktopia, Ninti Earth, constitutes acceptance of your Council's terms and conditions and the terms and conditions set out on this website.
Ordering a subsidised product does not automatically mean acceptance of the subsidy by the respective Council. We may need to verify your address and eligibility for a subsidy. Should you not be eligible, you will be given the option of paying the gap or cancelling your order.
Should you elect to receive a refund rather than pay the gap when you have:
- ordered with a code for an ineligible address or made multiple orders using a discount code on more than one occasion
- ordered using a discount code for a council other than your own council area
- order multiple times to claim a subsidy that is limited to one per household, or
- simply changed your mind
Refunds will exclude our out of pocket costs (admin and merchant fees of $5 or up to 5% of your order cost, which ever is the greater) to cover our out of pocket expenses.

Frequently asked questions
There is a limit of one subsidised order for period/continence products and one subsidised order for cloth nappies per household per financial year.
Merri-bek residents are eligible for the subsidy if they have not already claimed it in the same financial year.
If you do not live in Merri-bek, you are not eligible.
Your discount will be rejected. You will be contacted with options to pay the gap or cancel the order, if your rebate application does not qualify.
Please note that an admin fee applies to cover non-refundable merchant fees and a portion of staff costs.
The rebates reset every financial year, however will pause if the budget is exhausted.
No. The program is in partnership with Council and Greener Everyday. All products must be purchased through this website, with the Council discount applied at the checkout. If you purchase your products elsewhere you will not get the rebate.
